Summer holiday 2020

Appartment in characteristic Tuscan historical hilltop village ("casa-torre")

We offer a spacious appartment (150mq) in absolutely quiet surroundings, i.e. on the border of a small historic hilltop village overlooking the river Arno, in a pedestrian area with sufficient parking space next door. As soon as you exit the appartment door, you will find yourself in the middle of the beautiful Tuscan countryside.

The appartment comprises part of the former medieval castle of Capraia, and offers splendid views on the open countryside (Montalbano) and the town of Montelupo and its 16th-century Medici villa.
The appartment has been thoroughly modernized a few years ago and offers up-to-date modern comfort (dishwasher, washing-machine, air-conditioning, central heating). You will find a large kitchen including a seating area with a sofa (ca. 30 m2), a large living-room (ca. 30 m2), a small bathroom with toilet, a master bedroom and a room with two single beds (normally used by our childrens). We have hardwood floors in the whole appartment, besides the kitchen.

You can use our Wi-Fi-connection free of charge and can make free phone calls within Europe, but we won´t be able to leave a computer behind for you (as we use them for work). We do not have a TV set!!

In a 10 min walk down to the river Arno, you reach the local train station "Montelupo-Capraia". It is directly on the main train lines to Pisa, Siena and Florence, where each hour several trains leave for Florence (30 km distance), Siena or Pisa (50 km distance). All commodities (bakery, supermarket, hairdresser, bar) are within a range of 1 km distance.

During the summer we often stay away at our holiday home in the Apennines, so you could come when you wish and we would get a "credit" for your house for the same length of time during a period to be established when convenient.
