Super comfy home deep in nature, but close to New York City
Come stay and play in the peace and beauty of nature! Our elegant, yet cozy home is located deep in the Catskill Mountain Park in the Hudson River Valley of New York State, U.S.A. Recently renovated, this house will both wrap you in luxury and allow for special, homey times. Three bedrooms plus an addition queen sleeper sofa room make for plenty of space, two bathrooms have special touches throughout and offer a spa-like experience after a day of hiking, kayaking, skiing, and more. The stone fireplace adjacent to the chef's kitchen and expansive dining room allow for special meals and relaxing evenings. Dip into our game cabinet, read from our library, or host a movie night!
But the real magnificence lives outdoors with majestic views from every window. We see bear, deer, rabbits, turkeys, foxes, and even eagles and hawks as we wash dishes! Sit on the bluestone front porch with your morning coffee, or watch the sun set in the evenings over the mountains from the same spot. A large picnic table outside is perfect for summer meals.
You’ll have fourteen private acres that feature meadows, hills, even a river with your very own small island to explore. Cross-country ski and hike from right outside the door! This is a nature and bird watcher's sanctuary. Forage fiddleheads or pick berries and produce from our gardens.There are trails through the woods, ridges to climb, or if you fancy a longer expedition, just minutes away are trailheads that lead to some of the high peaks and the most challenging treks in the region. Ten minutes further, and you’re in the famed village of Woodstock with all its hippie nostalgia—paired with hip contemporary flair.
The Esopus is a nationally known whitewater tubing and kayaking destination and expeditions begin a few miles from the house. The Woodstock Film Festival is a destination event and travelers come from all over to take part in foliage season.The Hudson Valley is famous for its cuisine, and farm stands abound with locally grown produce from May through November. If you ever get tired of nature, New York City is an easy two hour drive, and there’s also a bus. We welcome you to experience the peace, serenity, and natural beauty of our beautiful home, amidst all the wonder and excitement of a Catskill vacation.

Mt. Tremper is a quaint hamlet located amidst natural wonders, tourist destinations, as well as everything you need to take care of all your daily needs. Do your grocery shopping at farmstands, local bakeries and butchers, or the supermarket a half-mile down the road. Eat out at the destination diner five minutes away, or make a special night of it at creative, sophisticated restaurants within a wider radius, including one that finishes your meal with s'mores roasted outdoors at the fire pit. Hike the best waterfall trail, paddle the Esopus, camp out in your own back meadow. A nearby creek-side spa offers massages, hair and nail treatments, and dips in the outdoor pool and hot tub. This area welcomes travelers from all over the world for breathtaking beauty and adventure--and this house is in the center of it all!
