Our house is localed 5-10 min walking from the old center of Bordeaux. A car isn't always necessary because you can walk or use tramway, buses and also our bikes, but we wish too also exchange our car. From Bordeaux center, you are never far away from nature, you are very fast in the fields (10 min by car), there are even famous wineyards (appelation Pessac Leognan) 5-10 min from the center !
Bordeaux is a town with a nice historical center (many places or building to visit, museums...) but also full of life, where there are a lot of pedestrial streets for visiting, walking, shopping, many bars and restaurants to go out in the evening...
Along the river, you can have nice walks by foot or bicycle, skate or rollers. There are also outside areas for sport training (beach football, volleybeach, rink-hockey...).
At Bordeaux, there is a lake were you can swim or having a rest (also around there, a golf, a horse riding center). Bordeaux is a good place to go touring around :
- Beaches are not so far : at 40 km, you have atlantic sea, with well-known waves to surf on. If you prefer a quietly sea, you can go to Arcachon's basin, more secure with young children (40 km).
- You can also discover the forest of Landes (30 km) were there is a Natural Park.
- If you go east, in less of one hour, you are in the Perigord, rich of medieval castles, pre-historical areas and well-known for its gastronomy...
Our house is very quite, confortable and renoved. We have a lovely terrasse to play, eat and rest outside. You'll also find 4 bikes.
