Large house in Quimper, beautiful town, Brittany, France
We are a French couple and we have been travelling all over Europe for nearly 20 years now.
All our children are university students and will not take part in our home exchanges any more.
As a consequence, we are now looking for home swaps for two people only.
Quimper is a very pleasant town to live in and visit and the area is quite beautiful, with a very scenic coastline.
Do not hesitate to ask us for any further information .
Here are a few pictures :
Our house has got three floors:
In the basement, we have a laundry.
On the first floor, you have four rooms ( from 16 to 20 square metres)/ the lounge (with piano), the dining room (library), the kitchen and the parents' bedroom plus a toilet, a washbasin and a shower.
On the upper floor, there are four large bedrooms plus a toilet and a bath.
Garden (1,000m2)

Our Neighbourhood

Nearest Airport: Pluguffan - 6 km
we are a 10 -minute walk from the medieval town center. We live in a quiet area although it is in town .
There is a park 200 meters away from our house and at the same distance you also have a baker's and a butcher's shop. 5mns away, there is a shopping area with a very big supermarket. Our garden is quite large( 1000 square meters).
As for the beaches, there are quite a lot of them around, between 15 and 25 kms away. Whether you drive up North, south, or west you'll always find nice sandy beaches. We usually go to the Treustel , not far from Combrit as it is very safe for the kids.
If you want to go hiking, we have a lot of information at home about walking paths. Moreover, you have a lot of beautiful coastal paths around .
If you want to go sailing, you can go to Loctudy or La Forêt-Fouesnant ( a famous sailing harbour where a lot of famous French skippers come from) and there is also the famous « Ecole des Glénans » where young people learn sailing)
On the cultural side, we have a rather good « Musée des Beaux Arts » plus a museum about Breton culture
There is also the « Musée Gauguin » in Pont-Aven.
On the third week of July, there is « Le Festival de Cornouaille » a traditional celtic festival with a lot of concerts and activities for the kids ( They can dress up as peasants in traditional costumes for example)
