South-East Austria, Burgenland, Kotezicken
Our house is situated in the south-east of Austria, 140 km from Vienna, 100 km from Graz and 10 km from the Hungarian border, in a small village with 300 inhabitants. The area is very quiet, people in our neighborhood are very friendly and helpful.
The house is a typical regional farmhouse we have renovated in 2005. It has a quiet yard with a linden tree in the middle of the yard, where you can sit and read in the shadow or lie in the hammock and watch the birds and the sky. There are some fruit trees and vegetable growing.
we have two sleeping rooms with two double beds, a bathroom with shower, a kitchen with a dishwashing machine and an induction stove. From the kitchen you can go outside to our terrace in front of the kitchen and have your meals there. Or you can sit inside the kitchen around a big wooden table.
The living room is very big with sofas and TV and a beautiful view in our garden.

About the neighborhood
The region we live in is in the southeast of Austria, close to the Hungarian border, about halfway between the cities of Vienna (1. 5 hours away) and Graz (1 hour away). The region of South Burgenland is known for its mild climate, the many sunny days, medieval castles (Schlaining, Güssing, Forchtenstein, Schloss Tabor, ....), a well-developed network of cycling and hiking trails and the untouched nature (https://www.suedburgenland.info). The most beautiful cycle paths lead away from traffic through a unique, untouched landscape. If you are interested in cycling tours, we offer two e-bikes.
The South Burgenland region is particularly known for its vineyards on the slopes of rolling hills and the typical, romantic Kellerstöckl.
For visits to the cities of Vienna and Graz there is a direct bus connection from our place.
We are located in the middle of the spa region Südburgenland, with numerous spas, all of which offer completely different types of "wellness deluxe".
You can reach the next supermarket by bicycle or by car (2 km).

Wir lieben Urlaub
We, Franz (66) and Marina (64) are both retired since one year, interested in music, literature and culture in general. We have two sons (36 and 32) who live in Vienna and are not traveling with us.
We have already had exchange experience with Italy and Portugal.
