Our apartment is basically always available, as it is not our permanent home. We do not need a simultanous exchange. We are open to suggestions for any exchanges from Jan.2024 on - we would very much like to spend a longer perios in the UK or Ireland, shorter stays in other places are welcome. |

Charming Vienna - newly renovated appartment
Here is where you can enjoy Vienna at its best - peaceful garden views and just 10 min. busride to the city centre.
Newly refurbished appartment in nice area with loads of original atmosphere, bars, cafes and traditional shops and markets.
There is WiFi, dishwasher, washing machine, radio, cd.
The kitchen is fully equipped.
From here it is a 15min busride into the centre, as well as into the vienna woods.

We normally live in an old Villa in the south of Vienna - with a large garden - but we still have this place in the city - Every now and then we spend some time in the Vienna appartment - we love to go to concerts, exhibitions, the opera ... or just enjoy the "Big City"!
Hier kann kann man Wien genießen - Frühstück am Kutschkermarkt oder ein Wienerliedkonzert im traditionellen Kaffeehaus. Stadtbesichtigung, Shopping oder ruhiges Vorstadtleben - neu renovierte 2-Zimmer-Wohnung im gutbürgerlichen 18. Bezirk, top ausgestattet mit neuer Küche und Balkon in den grünen Innenhof.
Vor der Tür die Busstation ins Zentrum (10min) oder ins Grüne (10 min), Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in unmittelbarer Nachbarschaft. Viele nette Cafés und Restaurants in kurzer Gehdistanz.
2 Zimmer - eines mit Doppelbett, im Wohnzimmer gibt es noch eine Ausziehcouch für zwei.
Die Küche ist vollständig ausgestattet - Geschirrspüler und Waschmaschine gibt es auch.

I am 62 years old, my husband is 71 and we are both retired. Our children have left home, sometimes theay travel with us - in various combinations.
We love travelling - mostly as a couple.
Sometimes our children like to use our holiday flat for an exchange or to accomodate friends.
Ich bin 62 Jahre alt, und war Lehrerin für Englisch und Geschichte an einem Wiener Gymnasium. Ich wohne mit meinem Mann (Universitätsprofessor) in einer alten Villa im Süden Wiens, und manchmal verbringen wir in der Wiener Wohnung Zeit - wenn wir ins Konzert gehen oder ins Theater, oder einfach ein Kultur Wochenende in Wien genießen wollen.
Unsere erwachsenen Kinder leben zum in Wien, Saarbrücken und New York - zwei sind auch an Universitäten (Robotics, Umweltwissenschaften) tätig, die jüngste unterrichtet Musik und Deutsch.
Wir alle reisen gerne - meist zu zweit in verschiedenen Kombinationen.
