About the neighborhood
Laarne is a charming town with a lot of nature , a beautiful medieval castle, a lot of café's, typical Belgian 'Frietkoten', bakeries, farmacies , butchers, supermarket , a library , all you need.
It lies 12km of the beautiful historic city of Gent, where you can get by bus or by car in 10 minutes.
There's a family Park 'Harry Malter' with a zoo, and a beautiful play garden/ taverne Prullenbos.
There are a couple of restaurants and bars too in the center.
If you like walks or bicycle tours , it is ideal to go from Laarne to the Kalkense Meersen (a part of Laarne) or along the river 'Schelde' to Wetteren or Schellebelle . You can also take the bike and take the route along the river to Gent to enjoy culture, music, musea and everything this wonderful city has to offer.
Our street is a green, very calm street with nice neighbours and a little forest in only a few meters.
It is ideal with or without children, we have a little cat that we would like to be taken care of , Snowflake (Sneeuwvlok). He is very sweet and clean .

Familia muy acogedora y cercana. Compartimos momentos al ser intercambio no simultaneo y fue genial. Los niños jugaron juntos y la casa es estupenda, todo facilidades y cercania.
Very helpfull and friendly family. They offered a nice and clean appartement not far from the city centre. Everything was as described. We enjoyed are stay very much.

We experienced Intervac through our parents and we know what a great way of travelling it can be!
We love nature and cities, but we are mainly focused on the pleasure and comfort of our children . Happy children, happy parents ;)

Wij houden van de natuur en van steden, maar zijn vooral gefocused op het plezier en comfort van onze kinderen nog zo jong zijn.
In het dagelijkse leven zijn wij alletwee full-time muzikant. Ons huis ademt dan ook muziek en liefde voor de familie.
