Spacious and charming family house in Amsterdam's suburban delight Amstelveen. (20’ cycing or direct bus to Amsterdam musea & centre)
We are a Dutch-French family with two lovely daughters (Fanny 12 & Morgane 14 years old) living in a spacious house ( 170 m2) in Amstelveen.
Amstelveen is situated near the Amsterdam Airport Schiphol( 10mns to our home ) and near Amsterdam and the typical Dutch villages such as Volendam, etc.
Amstelveen has also a forest with lake. You can enjoy a lovely walk in the woods, go sailing or cuddle the goats. There is so much to see at the Amsterdamse Bos, you won’t run out of things to do. This is really close to our home: you can walk there in a few minutes.
So: if you want you can be in the center of Amsterdam in 20 minutes by bus or bike, visit 2 modern museums ( Cobra) in Amstelveen, go shopping ( great shopping facilities!) or do a quiet walk in the forest within a few minutes walk. You can also enjoy a drink and nice food in the old part of Amstelveen or on the beach (30 mns drive only from our home).
We also have some bikes for you to use and discover the beautiful surroundings along the Amstel river and the pretty village: Ouderkerk aan de Amstel. It offers a scenic refuge from the hustle and bustle of big cities. The village is a popular destination for bike rides from Amsterdam .
Should you play the piano,you will be pleased to read that we have one in the living room! If you love reading and cooking, you will enjoy our book collection in our home.

Dear Intervac Friend,
Thank you for taking interest in our home.
We are a Dutch-French family with two lovely daughters ( 19 &17 years old) living in spacious house ( 170 m2) in Amstelveen. Amstelveen is situated near the Amsterdam Airport Schiphol( 10mns to our home ) and near Amsterdam and the typical Dutch villages such as Volendam, etc.
The father Raphael (Dutch) is an experienced guitar player and has a great collection of left handed guitars in the house. Christine, The mother (French) is an avid marathon runner (13marathons) who loves discovering any new place while running.
Fanny (17years old) and Morgane (19years old) practice athletics also in our home town Amstelveen and enjoy running with their mum while on holidays.
We love reading books and are very open to new people and friends in our home. We have enjoyed 5 lovely home exchanges already in France, Spain, Grand Canaria and Sweden so far.
We are open to any proposal for the summer 2018.
