spacious and very colourful house in Tubbergen, Netherlands

Are you looking for the excitement and the hustle and bustle of city life? Sorry, then this offer is not for you. On the other hand, if you are interested in staying in a (generally) quiet and peaceful provincial town in the Eastern part of the Netherlands, very close to the German border, surrounded by nature, suitable for hiking and making bike tours, keep on reading!

We live in a spacious and very colourful house. Our house is non-smoking and we intend to keep it like that. Downstairs we have a living room, a practical kitchen, a bathroom with jacuzzi, a terrace with parasol. Upstairs we have a master bedroom, a second bedroom with double bed, a guest room with single bed + a child's bed, a bathroom with shower.

We have a child-friendly home, taking into account that we have 9 grandchildren, varying in age between 6 and 20 years. Apart from toys, we also have children's plates, children's cutlery.

For the rest of the year, we are interested in shorter exchanges, for example an (extended) weekend.
Besides, we would very much like to exchange for shorter vacation periods or any weekend (date to be discussed) with someone in the Netherlands, Germany or Belgium.

Voor kortere vakantieperiodes of tijdens weekends (data in nader overleg) zouden wij graag willen ruilen met iemand in Nederland, Duitsland of België.

Übrigens würden wir uns freuen über einen Tausch mit jemandem in den Niederlanden, Deutschland oder Belgien während der kürzeren Ferienperioden oder an noch näher zu erörternden Wochenenden.

The German border is at approx. 7.5 km from our home. Worth while excursions to neighbouring Germany include the Nordhorn Zoo, and Bentheim castle).

The region of Twente is a fantastic place to enjoy the calm and quiet of nature or, if you want to be active, to visit cultural events with regional characteristics.

Shops at walking distance from our home, at 100 - 400 m, including chemist, supermarket, dairy shop, delicatessen, florist, pharmacy, etc.. Public swimming pool available + some restaurants. A folder with tourist information is available for guests. Tourist office at 200 m from our home. Fine walking and biking tours are possible, starting from our home. Bus stop with connection to the nearest railway station, Almelo, at 40 meters from our home, just around the corner. A trip to Almelo by bus takes 25 minutes, buses available all day every 30 minutes until just after 8 PM. Distance from Schiphol Airport to Tubbergen: 170 km by road, by public transport: 2 hours by train, 8 minutes changing time, 25 minutes by regional bus.
