High on a hill above the San Francisco Bay in a quiet residential neighborhood our house has a sunny garden on the west side and a redwood deck with a hot-tub on the east side. The east side has great sylvan views of Tilden Park which has miles of hiking trails, a lake for swimming, little train and carousel for the children, and a lovely 18 hole golf course. It's not far down the hill to shopping and some of the country's best restaurants. University of California is a mile southwest. It's a short drive (or bus/subway) to San Francisco and about an hour to Napa Valley or Sonoma Valley wine country. Four hours drive will put you at Lake Tahoe or Yosemite National Park, two scenic wonders of the western USA. We are very interested in ideas for exchanges in Italy, Austria, Iceland, Portugal, Palm Springs, or Cambridge, England but we are also open to other offers. We are retired and have a rather flexible schedule for the right exchange opportunity. We can often arrange a non-simultaneous exchange since we have other housing options nearby.
