Welcome to our house by the ocean in Karlskrona, Sweden. Karlskrona. In the middle of the archipelago.
Drop anchor in Karlskrona, the city that was founded in 1680, when Karl XI decided to build Sweden's new naval base here. More than 340 years later, the naval base remains and the well-preserved architecture and city plan impressed UNESCO, and gave the city World Heritage status in 1998. Wherever you go, you can see evidence of this; magnificent churches, grand squares, parade streets and fortifications that attract visitors from all over the world.
And all this on a number of islands, in the middle of the archipelago. An archipelago that UNESCO has designated as one of seven biosphere reserves in Sweden. Nowhere else in the world can you paddle around a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve while enjoying the amazing fortifications and buildings of a World Heritage city.

The house is adjacent to the ocean with a large terrace and garden facing the ocean.
On the island there is a very nice beach suited fot both small children and teenagers alike. There is also a nice stroll around the island that takes approximately 30 minutes. The island is connected to the main island by several bridges.
Our house is 129 square meters with 3 bedrooms ( one double bed and 2 children's room).
The laundry room is in the basement. We have a blow up jacuzzi that is very nice to use in the summertime and wintertime. You can hop in the water from one of the bridges outside our house and then jump in the pool.
Fast internet, WIFI is in the house.
On the attic we have a playroom if you need more space to play. And lots and lots of lego.
A very family oriented area perfect for a family with children.
We have a lot a toys for children aged 5-12 as well as a trampoline in the garden.
To walk to the city takes about 10 minutes. There you can find all sorts of restaurants and shops. We have bicycles that you can borrow for easy and quick access. A 5 min walk to the beach from our house. Small playground just outside in the park.
Train ride to Copenhagen or Malmö is about 3 hours. There are several tourist boats traveling the archipelago. You can also borrow our small boat.
Airport of Ronneby is about 20 min away from Karlskrona by car.

Saltö island is a beautiful island with lots of opportunities to swim and stroll around. Its approximately 10 minutes to walk to the city center where you can find everything you need.
On the way to the city you will pass a square that is called the fishing square. From there you can take boats out in the archipelago. You can do half day excursions or full day tours
For copenhagen airport there is a direct train to Karlskrona. From the train station it takes about 20 minutes to walk or you simply take a taxi ( around 5 minutes).
The island close to Saltö is an island where you can play minigolf, swim on another beach, or just stroll around along the beautiful coastline.

Une maison adorable, très bien entretenue, avec vue sur la mer de tous les côtés, très proche du centre ville. Terrasse et jardin sont des lieux très agréables pour se reposer. Karlskrona est un bon point de départ pour de multiples excursions, en vélo ou en bateau. L'interaction avec mes hôtes s'est très bien passée avant, pendant et après l'échange : ils ont tout fait pour rendre mon séjour le plus confortable possible. Ils ont pris soin de ma maison et de mon jardin qui étaient impeccables à mon retour.
Mycket trevlig kvinna vi bytte hus med. Huset var bra och låg trevligt till. Bra grannar man kunde be om hjälp från.
Het huis van Charlotte en Manne is een heel aangenaam huis, vol van licht en overal kleine terrasje, met zicht op zee.
Det var en väldigt trevlig familj som var tillmötesgående med alla möjliga frågor och möjligheter! Toppenbra
