Spacious house well-located to explore Amsterdam & Netherlands surroundings
Bienvenidos a la casa van Munster Nochebuena! Do you fancy spending your holidays exploring the Western part of the Netherlands? Our home is a good place to start your explorations from! We have fully embraced the homed exchange experience, this is THE way for us to spend our holiday and get to know different parts of Europe. Also car exchange is an option for us if travel is far by car.
We have a comfortable house located in a relaxed, open and green residential zone in Hoofddorp, a small city located in the proximities of Amsterdam & Haarlem. Several beaches are by car within 30 minutes driving, and we have several nature & recreational parks with swimming options within 10 min bicycle distance. The nearest indoor swimming pool is within eyesight from the house. There's also a big & popular skatepark very close by, and various football & a basketball court in the proximity just a bike ride away.
Our house is 3 levels high, approx 165m3, with 4 bedrooms, with a back garden with shed and a parking space up front. The house is cosy and spacious. The photos can help you to get an impression on our house, an image says more than a thousand words they say! At the end of 2021 we renovated the house, it now has a new kitchen, more spacious bathroom, a new toilet and new flooring incl floor heating downstairs. We also have solar panels and a heat pump, meaning the house is gas-free and self supporting in terms of energy. It's ready for the future.
For us the house has most conveniences of today's modern world, with wifi, tv, fully equipped kitchen, washing machine & dryer, and other home appliances. Our grinding espresso machine and top-notch blender are the luxuries that allow us to enjoy the best cortado's, capuccino's and smoothies, which are those drinks that help us calm down & enjoy the moment in this busy life! And for the kids we have many toys, a game console, we have 3 boys but even for girls we think they will probably not be easily bored. We have a trampoline and natural grass in the back garden. In case your kids are older, no worries, all beds are 2 meters long. In case you have no (young) kids, that's also no problem, we just bring many toys to your home!
In the shed you can find an extra fridge & freezer combo, rackets, balls, and other games, an inflatable swimming pool, and 6 bikes incl 1 mountain bike all with helmets so you can safely explore the surroundings the Dutch way.

The house is well located to go and explore the Netherlands, especially the Randstad region. The key cities that form this 'metropolitan' area are Amsterdam (distance from our house 34km), The Hague (47km), Rottterdam (60km) & Utrecht (64km) and its surroundings. You have a great starting point from our house to which you can daily discover new places and landscapes. Besides the aforementioned cities, there's also other beautiful but smaller cities such as Haarlem (18km), Leiden (19km), Delft (49km), or other touristic magnets such as Volendam (49km), Zaanse Schans (38km), Kinderdijk (91km) and Keukenhof (10km). There's also many beach villages in the proximity, closest by is Zandvoort (16km), but also other beach towns like Bloemendaal (19km), Katwijk (19km) or Wijk aan Zee (31km) can bring diversity to your beach days. Closer at biking distance 15 min max we have various parks, forest, and lakes closeby for sports and recreation, and a swimming pool around the corner. The shopping centre for the daily groceries is closely located, a 5 minute bike ride away, 2 min by car. Hoofddorp city centre is a 15 minutes bike ride away, 10 min by car. Our residential area is well connected with public transport, biking is custom and well facilitated, and also public network of roads & highways is well facilitated from our house.

La maison est parfaitement conforme à la description. Tout y est très pratique et et très agréable à vivre. Elle est très bien située et permet de visiter facilement Amsterdam et Rotterdam. Rutger et Sara sont des hôtes attentifs et agréables. Nous avons pu communiquer facilement avec eux. Ils ont également été très respectueux de notre maison lors de l'échange.
Very nice family easy to communicate with. The house is bigger than it looks like, bright and very well decorated. Lots of small cities to visit around (lieden, Delft, Harlem), as beautiful as Amsterdam but less crowded. We highly recommend.

A Dutch-Mexican family with 3 boys
We're a Dutch-Mexican family with 3 boys. After several years of having lived in different places in Europe, in 2017 we decided to settle down in the Netherlands to give our boys a stable youth in a fixed spot with family & long time friends around. Rutger is Dutch and entrepreneur, a padel trainer & welness coach in padel and with a background in marketing. Sara is Mexican, and has her own practice as therapist of orthomindcare.com, and she also works in lifestyle & supplements @ Vitaminstore.
Our boys are Gustavo, Lisandro and Mauro, we're bron in 2012, 2014 and 2016.
We speak Dutch and Spanish at home, we mix it up and kind of have our own language :) Next to our family life and work, we all have an active sporty lifestyle, our hobbies tend to be around physical exercise. The list of sports we play feels endless, and keeps us vital and happy!
Besides the busy family and hobby life, we also try to have our social moments with friends and family.
