Apartment situated in a quiet village in Sauerland, with a wide view of a beautiful hilly landscape.
Our small-scale apartmentcomplex is built on a slope. To reach our apartment (on the first floor)you need to go down one floor.
The livingroom has a nice comfortable seating area, and acces to the south-facing balcony.
In the modern fully equiped kitchen is a dining area. Our apartment has 2 bedrooms: One with twin beds and a single bed, another with a bunkbed.
In the bathroom is a toilet, a shower and bathroom furniture, besides that a washing machine and dryer.
There is a central heating throughout the apartment, and in the livingroom next to it an electric fire-place. In the kitchen and livingroom is also an air conditioner.

We offer you a beautiful, comfortable apartment, located in the village of Nordenau, in the middle of the Rothaar Mountains. It is part of Schmallenberg, a medium-sized town with all kinds of amenities, beautiful shops and nice terraces. With its many half-timbered houses, Nordenau is probably the most authentic village in the Hochsauerland. That's why it is called 'The Pearl of the Sauerland'.
From the 11 meter wide south-facing balcony you have a wonderful and unobstructed view of the hilly surroundings with meadows, forests and the village of Nordenau. From the balcony you can hear the babbling brook below in the valley. This valley largely consists of a so-called 'Kurpark", with space for walking of picknicking. For children there is a playground. Known for its charming location, its wooded area and its clear an pleasant air, there is in Nordenau a climatic health resort, that has been awarded the most rare and enviable status of "Staatlich anerkannte Luftkurort" (State-approved climatic health resort).
One of the most attractive things for us is the possibility of making beautiful walks in the nearby area, with fantastic views.
Despite the surrounding is very calm and quiet, it is only 6 minutes by car to the wintersportsarea, 10 minutes to the bikepark and the golf-course and 12 minutes to the center of Winterberg. (There is also a busstop just outside the appartement-complex). Schmallenberg and Bad Berleburg with all their sights and attractions are reachable in 16 and 25 minutes by car.
Larger cities such as Kassel (100 km), Marburg (70 km), Dortmund (100 km), and Keulen (130 km) are also within reach.

Unsere Tauschpartner waren sehr freundlich und sehr gute Gastgeber. Sie waren sehr interessiert, dass es uns während unseres Aufenthaltes gut ging und es uns an nichts fehlte. Das Heim war sehr gemütlich ausgestattet, es war alles vorhanden, was man benötigte. Die Lage der Wohnung war im Grünen, trotzdem verkehrsgünstig zu erreichen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.
Der Tausch mit Etti und Jan war sehr schön. Die Tauschwohnung ist sehr groß und hell. Der Ost-Südbalkon ist sehr schön, mit Blick auf den Wald und den Kurpark und ruhig gelegen. Winterberg und Willingen sind sehr schöne Städte. Zum Baden sind Diemelsee, Hillebachsee, Sorpesee und der Hennesee zu empfehlen. Den Erlebnisberg Kappe darf man nicht auslassen! Das Rothaargebirge ist optimal zum Wandern. Die Kommunikation mit Etti und Jan war absolut unproblematisch und sehr gut!
Het vakantie appartement is van alle gemakken voorzien. Heerlijk ruim en gezellig ingericht en een balkon met een prachtig weids uitzicht. Het contact met Etti en Jan was prettig en tijdens het verblijf hebben we ook regelmatig contact gehad. Het appartement ligt in een rustige omgeving. Je kunt er volop wandelen, fietsen en leuke stadjes bezoeken.

We love silence and nature as well as culture and big cities.
We are Jan and Etti.
We both are retired teachers. We have no young children. We are very fond of nature.
We enjoy walking and cycling. Also visiting authentic towns, musums, exhibitions and folkore events.
But we enjoy reading too!
