Cozy family home close to nature and the city
Our modernized and extended 1925 family house is situated in a small green suburb of Haarlem. It has a large and modern kitchen that is integrated with the living room. The master bedroom is on the ground floor that looks out of a (for Dutch city standards) spacious and green garden. It has a private bathroom. Upstairs are two other bedrooms (one is a guestroom/study) and another bathroom. And finally there's another bedroom in the attic.
You will share the house with Vos and Rover, two brother cats of 6 years old. They demand feeding and possibly some cuddles. They don't have an in-house litterbox and are often out and about.

Sobre el vecindario
The Ramplaankwartier neighbourhood is a small Haarlem enclave surrounded by the Elswout Estate, agriculture, the village of Overveen and the National Park Kennemerduinen. It's mostly filled with 1920's-1930's familiy housing and occupied as such. There's a small supermarket and a bakery. There's also a small restaurant, a cafe and a doctor. There's free street parking and in holidays' there's plenty of space for that. It is very quiet and is very safe, crime rates are very low.
The Elswout Estate is a stunning landscape park in walking distance where you can find a new route every day. Adjacent to it is the National Park Kennemerduinen which stretches out for kilometres of forests and dune landscapes, amazing to explore by bike or foot. Behind that is of course the beautiful North Sea beach, which is still in reach for trained hikers, or 25 minutes by bike, 10 by car.
To the east it is 10 minutes by bike to the historical centre of Haarlem, with its majestic churches, vibrant shopping area and lots of culture to experience. To get to Amsterdam, hop on the train station of Overveen which is 5 minutes by bike.

Laid back family with a laid back house
We are a rather typical Haarlem family that started out in Amsterdam after our studies, had two kids over there but then grew out of the apartment and moved west, towards larger family houses, nature and a less hectic life. We love living right in the middle of nature but still in a small and beautiful city and the bigger city right around the corner as well.
We like hiking, biking, fitness, the kids play field hockey and soccer, simple and healthy food, active holidays in unexplored areas, making or dancing to music, the beach, the forest.
