We are open for any offers.
Non simultaneous offers for Spain and other warm countries are welcome for the winter. We could travel during winter months and you could come to our house in the summer.
For short periods we are happy to exchange cars, but we prefer driving to European countries, for example Denmark, Germany, France, Switzerland, Austria or Spain.
We live around 30 kilometers from the center of Helsinki in Tuusula in a row of six houses. The area is quiet and green. In the back we have a lovely courtyard and terrace facing west, where you can enjoy the sun from morning to evening. The sun rises very early and sets very late in June and July.
There is a bus service to Helsinki once in an hour. The nearest bus stop is around 600 meters from our home. There are more routes with and exchange of buses or train.
The kitchen is large and modern, all the rooms have plenty of light. There are two toilets and one shower. You can use the private sauna whenever you wish.
Tuusula is an excellent area for enjoying the nature. There is a beautiful lake. Tuusula is also a famous place for Finnish cultural museums.

Notre appartement est situé dans l´environnement calme à 30 km (40 minutes) de la centre Helsinki. L'arrêt de bus est à peu prés de 600 m.
Il y a trois chambres et une salle de bain avec douche et sauna privée, et une terrasse au Sud.
Nous sommes une famille de deux personnes: Nous sommes à la retraite. Juha était professeur de musique à l'école et Aila conseillère aux élèves dans un lycée pour adultes Notres enfants sont adultes et mariés. nous avons onze petits-enfants

Wir lernten unsere Tauschpartner vor unserem Abflug noch kennen, weil sie morgens in Berlin ankamen, wir aber erst gegen Mittag die Wohnung verlassen mussten. So konnten wir sie mit einem gemeinsamen Frühstück begrüßen. Es entstand sehr schnell eine Vertrautheit und Sympathie. In Helsinki holte uns der Sohn mit dem komfortablen Auto ab, das uns in den folgenden 14 Tagen zur Verfügung stand. Das Haus und die Einrichtung empfanden wir gemütlich, geschmackvoll und sehr hochwertig. Entgegen mancher früherer Erfahrungen war kein Zimmer verschlossen. Die zahlreichen teuren Musikinstrumente, einschließlich Kontrabass, standen in unserer Obhut. Das kostbare Geschirr in den Vitrinen benutzten wir lieber nicht, sondern griffen auf das etwas einfachere in den Küchenschränken zurück. Die Tauschpartner stellten uns aufgeladene Wertkarten für den öffentlichen Personennahverkehr zur Verfügung, die wir auch fleißig nutzten. Selbstverständlich hegten wir ihre unzählichen Pflanzenkübel im Garten, wie auch sie unsere überschaubaren Pflanzen auf der Dachterrasse gossen. Am Ende des Urlaubs kamen wir gegen Mittag in Berlin an und wurden von unseren Tauschpartnern mit einer köstlichen Fischsuppe und einem selbstgebackenen Kuchen begrüßt. Ehrensache, dass wir sie am Abend zum Flughafen fuhren. Wir erinnern uns gern an diesen gelungenen Haustausch in Finnland.

Both of us used to work at school, but now we are retired. Juha was music teacher and Aila was student counsellor at an adult high school. We travel a lot and we have lots of nice memories from Bed and Breakfast accommodations, cosy family hotels, camping sites and people in general around Europe and the home exchanges we have had in Switzerland (2010), Wien (2011), Canary Islands (2012), Salem Germany (2012) Slovenia (2013), Catalunya (2014), Lyon (2015), Denmark (2015) Marbella (2015) and Paris (2016). Tarragona (2017), Granada ( 2018) and Schweitz (2019) have absolutely been highlights of our trips.
We have four children and we used to enjoy travelling around Europe in a caravan during school holidays. Now we are happy grandparents leaving the four adult children and eleven grandchildren behind when we drive away. They all live in Helsinki area and can help you if you have problems while staying in our home. The family of our daughter is member in Intervac as well and because she lives less than 20 kilometers from our home, we could make a simultaneous exchange with two neighboring families, if you wish.
Aila loves taking pictures so much it was difficult to find a picture from both of us, but we found a few anyway.
