A small house in the Swedish countryside
Our home is located close to the city of Jönköping, but still in the countryside. It has two floors and is suitable for two adults and one or two children. It is very friendly for children. We have two sofa beds so four more persons is possible in the house. Just not as comfortable.
Bottom floor has kitchen, bathroom, living room and TV-room.
First floor has master bedroom and smaller bedroom.
There is also a small guesthouse next to the main building. Our son uses it as his room nowadays. It has it's own bathroom with a shower.
It has a huge plot (13000 m2), with big lawns, a spa bath, a trampoline, a big pond with crayfish and even some forest. The kitchen is very well equipped. We have free internet, lots of board-games, lots of Lego and some gaming consoles (PS4 and XBox360) that are free to use. There are also bikes free to borrow during the stay.
We have also a good barbecue grill that is nice to use on warm evenings and a gazebo for cooler evenings.
The house is not in total privacy, but almost. There is only one close neighbor and they cant view over the fence. The lawn is maintained by robots.
We have a cleaner that comes every two weeks.
Closest swimming lake is 20 minutes away and a fishing-lake where boats can be rented is 1 km away. A public pool is 5 minutes away by car.
For those interested in golfing, is Scandinavia's second best golf course, Sand golf, located 1.5 km away and Sweden's oldest golf course is 20 km away.
However, we do have two three that needs to be taken care of!
They are the reason that we unfortunately can't allow any other animals in our house. However, they are very friendly and loves food and strokes. They have a cat flap so they come and go as they like.
The house is located 1.5 h drive from Gothenburg airport. We have found that it is very easy to exchange cars at the airport.

20 km to the south is Dumme Mosse, one of southern Sweden's biggest swamp area http://jkpg.com/en/jonkoping-huskvarna/dumme-mosse/
20 km north west is Ryfors Golf, Sweden's oldest golf course.
A city with 100,000 inhabitants. It is located just south of the Great Lake Vättern. In the summer it is a nice city to flinch in.
Worth visiting is:
The pier, food in nice surroundings at Vättern. Here are several restaurants to choose from. http://www.pirenjonkoping.se/
City Park. An attempt to gather the history and nature of the neighborhood in one place. A nice place, not least for children. http://jkpg.com/sv/jonkoping-huskvarna/jonkopings-stadspark/
Match Museum. Jönköping had long been known throughout the world for its matches. This museum shows that era and all about matches. http://www.matchmuseum.se/
In our surroundings
Habo church. An impressive 17th century cathedral in wood. In the summer there are guides there. https://www.svenskakyrkan.se/habo/habokyrka
Gunillaberg Cultural Heritage. Well worth a visit to those with cultural or gardening interests http://tage-andersen.com/gunillaberg/
A hearty but good day trip with a car that suits children and adults is to first go to Gränna and try out their specialty polka pigs. You can see how they are manufactured in several places.
Be sure to visit the exciting polar center http://www.grennamuseum.se/.
Then take the ferry to Visingsö http://www.visingso.net/ (do not forget to reserve a place if you want to bring your car. Otherwise you can go by bike. Can be rented on the island). There are plenty to discover and do at Visingsö Temple, castle ruins, stunning scenery, burial mounds and a nice herb garden. Do not miss going with remmalag http://www.visingsoremmalag.se/
The city of Åsen is a city that has been preserved for nearly 200 years. Here life looks like it used to do in Sweden. Lots of animals to pat and house to enter. It is exciting for both children and adults. http://www.asensby.com/

Nice nature in the surroundings
A few steps from the house goes Bankerydsleden. It is a good beginner trail that is only 25 km long and goes in a loop so you can walk all the way and get back where you started.
On the other side of Risbrodammen you can rent a boat and buy a fishing license. It is about 2 km to go there. Fishing gear and life jacket you have to arrange yourself.
Guided walks are often arranged from Mullsjö, 10 km away. http://www.mullsjo.se/Start-Mullsjo-Kommun/Uppleva-och-gora/Turistbyra/Friluftsriket/Guidade-turer/
There are also several good hiking and skiing trails from, or near, Mullsjö http://www.mullsjo.se/Start-Mullsjo-Kommun/Uppleva-och-gora/Turistbyra/Friluftsriket/Vandringsleder/
A couple of great cycling routes are also from Mullsjö. http://www.mullsjo.se/Start-Mullsjo-Kommun/Uppleva-och-gora/Turistbyra/Friluftsriket/Cykelleder/
In winter, Mullsjö alpine is often open. It is one of Southern Sweden's best slalom bombs. http://mullsjoalpin.se/
Other good slalom huts nearby are Järabacken (http://www.jslk.se/Jarabacken), Strutsabacken (http://ikhp.se/skidor/), Ulricehamns Ski (http://ulricehamnskicenter.se/) and of course Isaberg (http://www.isaberg.com/en/winter) less than an hour away by car.
At Kyrkekvarn you can rent both canoe and island horses. You paddle in the lake The stray, which is a very long and narrow lake. It then continues into Tidan, which flows into Vänern. All the way to Trollhättan is paddling. http://kyrkekvarn.com/
Sandhem is not far from Mullsjö. There starts the beautiful Eriksgatuleden. http://www.skaraborgsleder.se/vandring/se_vandring_mullsjo_eriksgatuleden.html
20 km south of us lies the Dummemosse entrance. The moss then extends almost home to us. It is Southern Sweden's largest bog. There are several hiking trails, ski trails and wind shelters. http://jkpg.com/en/jonkoping-huskvarna/dumme-mosse/
In Gränna, the 60 km long Hovaved Trail, which stretches to Tranås, starts. It's great to go, but perhaps to long to take on in a day, given that you have to go back too. Plan for an overnight stay in one of the existing windshields at the far end. http://www.jonkoping.se/upplevagora/friluftslivochmotion/vandringslederochstrovomraden/holavedsleden.4.74fef9ab15548f0b8002647.html
Between Huskvarna and Gränna, the East Vätterbranterna is one of the UNESCO's biosphere parks. http://www.jonkoping.se/byggabomiljo/naturvardochskotselavgronomraden/ostravatterbranternaettbiosfaromrade.4.74fef9ab15548f0b800111d.html It is wonderfully beautiful to go cycling around there and there is a good cycle track that passes by the finest places. http://www.jonkoping.se/upplevagora/friluftslivochmotion/cykling/cykelutflyktsleder.4.74fef9ab15548f0b8001e5a.html
About 1 hour to the east lies Bunn. It's a wounderfull and magic lake. Nature around it has been the model of John Bauer's paintings. A boat trip on it is recommended. http://trolska.se/. You can also rent a canoe in the lake.
A few miles south lies Taberg. A powerful rock that projects straight out of the landscape. At the top you have a great view. For a long time, you were undergoing mining. There only lives the bats now. They can be visited by guide. http://www.taberg.info/gruvan/
Not far from Taberg lies Bottnaryd's forest, south of Bottnaryd. There is old barrskog. http://jkpg.com/sv/bankeryd-bottnaryd-taberg/bottnaryds-urskog/
40 km north of us lies Hökensås. It is Sweden's leading sports fishing area with about 60 small lakes. Here you can even rent your own fishing lake.http: //www.hokensas.se/
Hökensås is also a nature reserve with excellent and shorter hiking trails and skiing http://www.vastsverige.com/tidaholm/b/46160/Hokensas-Naturvardsomrade. If you are interested in Swedish nature, this is one of the best places to visit.
For the children (and adults)
Not far away is Kivarps goatmeal where children can play with goats and adults. http://www2.habokommun.se/sv/mat-dryck/a441014/kivarps-gardsmejeri/detaljer?filter=c%3D20986
In Haurida you can try a hippo safari http://www.skogshast.se/ It is rugged riding on big horses.

And one and a half hours west lies Liseberg. The largest amusement park in the Nordics. https://www.liseberg.se/
There are several great golf courses nearby. Next to all, of course Sand Golf is generally considered to be among the absolute best courses in Scandinavia:
They also have a restaurant and a bar. It is the closest place to go out and eat in the evening.
20 km north west, outside Mullsjö, lies Ryfors Golf. It is the oldest golf course in the Nordic region.
There are many other good golf courses within easy driving distance: http://www.golfkoping.se/ http://www.golfsweden.com/golfklubs/o2os/golfclubs_jonkoping.shtml
