I really enjoyed my time at Marylene's and Jean's home. The house has everything one needs and is really comfortable. You can enjoy sitting in the garden, having coffee amongst the flowers, you can enjoy feeding their pets: 2 hens, who were so proud to give me a few fresh eggs during my stay there. I spent some quality time in Nantes, visiting castles in Loire valley, visiting wineries and tasting local wine (with French cheese).

We have just returned from a very successful exchange with Jean and Marylene in their lovely home in Maison-sur-Serve, South of Nantes. Their house is surrounded by vineyards and wineries producing Muscadet wine. We were made very welcome with information for us about the house and area and a bottle of the lovely local wine. When we visited in May we had a mixture of cold and rainy weather and sunny weather. We were allowed to light their wood burner in the sitting room when it was cold and we sat outside on their shaded patio when the sun shone. On our return to England, Jean and Marylene stayed in our home an extra night so we could meet and chat which was a very good idea. A very successful exchange for us

Marylene and Jean were exceptional people to exchange homes with. They graciously walked us through all the planning and exchange phases with practical and suggestions and guidance. They were friendly and communicative. Their home was very comfortable and enjoyable. They provided numerous resources a traveler would need: recommendations on local restaurants, shops, and attractions, maps, etc. They also generously provided regional food items so that when we arrived we did not have to rush out to the grocery store. My husband and I were truly lucky to have Marylene and Jean as our exchange partners.
